A Happy Happy New Year coming to you for making a great leap! It's so nice
to hear your messages through the Club. I feel with those messages that
your philosophy is getting deeper and deeper. Your words always encourage
me when I am confused. They are comparable to the monologue in Sea Mother's
Son the late La Russo II wrote for you. By the courtesy of the Club, I
had an opportunity to read through the script of Sea Mother's Son and knew
of Mr. La Russo's thought. He was the very person that appreciated the
best part of you, as Ms. Selznick was. I am very happy to see that you
keep going without losing the best part. |

After owning almost 30 of your films, I finally acquired 'A Month of Sundays'
after ordering it from overseas. What a wonderful movie, and you were fantastic.
What a shame it didn't get a wider release. Thank you for the many hours
of viewing pleasure that you have given me. I've been a fan for 20 years
and I will be a fan forever. Maybe you received the fan letter that I sent
you recently. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and I
wish you much happiness. Much love. |

Happy Holidays to you and your family, Michael! I now own the soundtracks

Michael,
This morning I was getting ready for work and went into my 15 year olds

both movies several times since I was in my early 20's. Still to this day
I have to stop and watch the remainder of the movie when my teenagers watch
it (they too love it!). This morning I was late for work.....I love music
and I love Eddie And The Cruisers. You have a Merry Christmas. |

Just wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed your work over the years.
Yes, they played Eddie Lives today and I'm sure that's why you've seen
so many fans and letters over the past week talking about that one. But
whenever I see one of your movies I'm reminded by one of my all time favorites,
The Philadelphia Experiment. My brother was born that year so I'll never
forget when it came out. Anyway, I just felt I would show my appreciation. |

My dear man you have caused me to look back on my youth so many times.
Though the memories have caused pain they have also touched beauty and
a core of love I'd forgotten I was capable of. You are the spitting image
of someone long lost in my life since I was a young girl. A love that families
would not accept and did their best to destroy. The intensity of you as
a person has been the seed that woke memories that I had tucked away over
40 years ago. The uncanny resemblance has taken my breath away more than
once. We all think that if we hide deeply enough we are safe. You have
proven me wrong in this. But at the same time you have given me an incredible
gift. It is now safe to look back, grieve and finally move on.
My sincerest gratitude |

The more I watch your performances, the more I realize why your acting
talent astounds me. You have a way of expressing emotions that makes me
actually "feel" them along with you! For example, when you cried
in either "Eddie I" or "The Philadelphia Experiment",
I felt like I was punched in the gut. It made me wish I could've been on
scene to lend a shoulder. Also, when you were elated in "Eddie II"
at clinching the opening act, I wished again that I could've "high-fived"
you and the guys. The one emotion that really gets me, though, is your
anger! To see the fire in your eyes when you're mad, like in "Eddie
I" or "II"! I'd rather be your friend than an enemy, I can
tell you that! LOL This is the reason I have you listed as my favorite
actor. |

Hi Michael,
I have been a fan of you and the music of Eddie and the Cruisers. I have
been playing Tender years and Dark side in my band for many years and still
introduce myself as Eddie Wilson as a effect while performing. I have seen
a few of your other films and have been saddened to not see Eddie but that's
how it goes, Every time I turn around I see Doc on something and the word
man from time to time, but it seems that Doc has a way of getting in there.
I guess that's why he's the manager of the Cruisers. Please email me and
let me know how I can get an autograph picture of an older Eddie Wilson.

Once again thanks and take care.

I just wanted to let you know that I've been in love with "Eddie Wilson"
ever since the 1st movie came out, when I was just a little too young to
fall in love with a rebel rock star, but did so anyhow. Contrary to Ryan
Freeman's opinion, (posted 11/2/04), there just is NO comparison. While
"Eddie Lives" was a fabulous sequel, the original is in a league
all it's own… (cont'd.) |

There have been some fantastic movies made in our time, but "Eddie
and the Cruisers" will forever remain my #1 favorite movie of all
time. My only regret is that Eddie Wilson is a fictional character. John
Cafferty still gets me rocking - his distinctive vocals compare to those
of the legendary Bob Seger, in my opinion, but the face I will always see
when "The Dark Side" comes on the classic rock station in my
car is yours, Michael Pare. ------- Forever your fan & Eddie's, |

First I would like to thank the administrator for the reply. Second I would
like to thank Mr. Pare for the movie The P. Experiment. I was 12 when I
saw it. I didn't know it was considered a flop until I began reading about
it today on the net. I think that was one of the best movies of the eighties.
I think also that movies are sometimes written by instinct. And the excuses
people use for a movie being bad are easily explained by instinct. It is
too bad a good writer can't see a sequel in that movie. Perhaps the project
was never ended and instead of going into the future the device transports
men across great distances. I think that movie and "Time Walker"
another favorite movie of mine, inspired Star Gate. I think Mr. Pare should
look for a Cable show on the sci fi channel. He would be good in a sci
fi. I would love to see a movie (or maybe cable movie of the P experiment
II ) But I guess that is what they call StarGate. Too bad. |

Dear Michael, Hello!! My name is Brandy Gilmer. I am a big fan of yours...
Last night I watched ''Eddie and the cruisers,'' and I love it. But the
very time I ever watched it, I did not know that the character Eddie was
standing at the end of the movie watching the tv as Ellen Barkin was talking
about Eddie. You are a great, cute, talented actor. My sister had my nephew
while she was watching Eddie part 2... I hope you have a very happy birthday...
I hope life is good for you & your family...
P.S. Later I found that was in fact Eddie standing and watching the tv
at the end of the movie. |

family ,my last child is 17 and my heart still bleeds to come out and sing
on stage, after watching your movie over and over it has given me will
power to go back and to fulfill my heart and to touch other hearts with
my gift from God, thank you and may god bless you with your talented acting
.And I need to tell you, that I have never yet, seen a man as handsome
as you, whether you have a lead or a small line on stage ,you stand out
from all the actor ,and actresses I hope to see you in more films to come
,you can count on me to be sitting in front of the screen, God bless and
take care. |

Your Birthday is just two days before my brother's (that makes it easy

Just wondering, have you tried to see if you could get in with one of the

to either of those shows. |

The cover interview you did for Shock Cinema is ... something special to
me. This gives me your words with so much presence that I have the illusion
that I am listening to the words personally. And I felt the interviewer's
love and respect for your work. Though it's a long, long interview, I really
enjoyed all of them. Thank you for Shock Cinema! And I reconfirmed how
accurate the Club info was. As a member I am proud of the Club. |

Dear Michael,
I remember my dad asking me to watch a moview with him one evening when
I was a teenager. He told me it was a great movie and I'd be missing out
if I didn't sit and watch it. So naturally, I did. I can't tell you how
much I enjoyed it! Once the movie ended he told me there was a second part
to the movie so I immediately went to the local movie rental store but
was unable to find it. It took me about a month or so to find Part II.
I actually had to travel to another town to find it but once I did I was
so excited, I called my Dad immediately and asked him to be home once I
arrived so we could watch it together. Not only were they both great movies
but I'll always have that little memoir of my Dad and I watching Eddie
and The Cruisers. Thanks Michael!!! :-) |

Hello mr. pare,
A note to express how much i enjoy your films, one of my favorites being
''bad moon''. I like the adrenaline and 'edge of your seat' qualities of
that movie. The only film i could complain about was ''spacerage''. But
i give you credit for agreeing to do it. I would've enjoyed working with
richard farnsworth. |

Hi Michael,
I tried to make it to see John Cafferty, just in case you were there, but
finances were tied up. (Did you go? Was it fun? : ) I watched Eddie 2 with
my ex the other day & we were wondering if you kept that nice picture
of Joe West. We thought it was a really nice picture. Also with the New
York City song, If you did do it by yourself like one article indicated,
you did a supurb job. (I liked it when you sang on Raging Angels, You have
a great voice) You enjoy yourself over there! |

Dear Michael,
I am soooo disappointed at the second season of Starhunter. The supporting
cast are all good and especially, your niece is getting attractive. A fatal
flaw is the lead that plays your son, I believe. I found nothing gorgeous,
nothing magnetic, both you had in the first season. Michael, your mission
is to rescue the clue and save the show. |

Hey Michael,
I have been a huge fan of yours since i was about 8 years old, when i first
saw Eddie and the Cruisers. I am in Baghdad Iraq right now, and i cant
find any of your movies here. they have just about every other movie ever
made here but yours. my wife played hell trying to find a copy of Eddie
2, but she finally found one on ebay. anyway just wanted to always meet
you, and saw this web page and figured it would have to do, as i am sure
you wont be in Baghdad anytime soon, and i have never heard of you being

Dear Michael,
On 2004 Independence Day, I can't help thinking of you in MOON 44, which
I think was so attractive because of the Stone character you played. You
definitely added some kind of romantic/lyrical touch to that movie. Roland
Emmerich should notice it 'cause his following movies lack the romanticism
he caught in MOON 44 by casting you. I do hope you will work with Emmerich
again in the very near feature. Have a wonderful Independence Day! |
